I'm new to Kickstarter! What happens now?

Welcome to the adventure! • Simply select which pledge you would like and your country and complete the Kickstarter process (input payment details etc) • If the campaign funds you will be charged for your pledge. • Two weeks after the campaign closes (assuming it funds) you will receive a link to the pledge manager. This is where you select optional purchases and pay for shipping. • We’ll update regually on the progress of the project, and you can follow your pledge products through the manufacture and shipping processes right to your door!

Can I buy your existing books and stickers?

Yes. These will be available as Add-On Purchases in the Pledge Manager after the campaign ends.

How does VAT work for UK & EU Backers?

We cover VAT in the shipping section on the campaign page.

The applicable VAT for the pledge levels is included in the shipping rates listed. This way we can account for the different taxes for different products for different backers in the most accurate and (importantly) visible way.

Due to changing VAT rules in the UK, EU and BREXIT this is rather complex! We have attempted to make it easy and transparent!

Its very important to us that there are no surprise costs for backers. We have decided this is the best way to address a fast moving and complex situation!

How does shipping work?

We will ship the product from our factory to fulfilment hubs around the globe where orders will be picked, packed and posted.

UK Backers – VAT, Customs etc We will use a UK Fulfilment hub to send rewards out to UK backers. All VAT and customs will be covered by us. VAT is included in the shipping rates.

EU Backers – VAT, customs Etc We will use an EU Fulfilment hub to send rewards out to EU backers. All VAT and customs will be covered by us. VAT is included in the shipping rates.

US Backers – We will use a US fulfilment house to send out rewards so there will be no unexpected costs or delays due to airmail.

Rest of world – Where we indicate “friendly shipping” on the campaign page this means we will use a fulfilment hub in country and there will be no customs fees. For other countries not listed as “friendly” customs fees may apply and backers are responsible for them.

I am an earlybird backer and want to change my pledge

We have all backer numbers recorded so please feel free to change your pledge in the backerkit survey. If you can reach out with your details we can then manually add your early bird reward back into your survey.

How do I get my digital content?

Once you complete your survey the last screen will have a “get digital content” button. Hit that and you’ll have link codes to cut and paste into your browser. This will automatically add the digital content you your account on DriveThruRPG. If you don’t have an account (they’re free) you’ll be prompted to open one. Once the files are in your library you can download them at your leisure.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
